We had a great time with our
luncheon from the girls from the group home and the inmates from the
Belmont Correctional Institution.
Some thank you's we received
from the group home read...
"I would like to thank you for all you have done for me. The Easter
food and baskets really brightened up my Easter. I was upset before,
but knowing people like you exist make me happy... The Bible I have
is extremely important to me and I found some really good sayings in
it. I know you will continue to touch others lives as well as you
touched mine." "Thank you so
much for throwing us a party for Easter. You have really given us
some hope that there are people out there that do not think we are
just bad kids. There are not many people out there that are so
understanding of us. I thank you for that.... My own personal
favorite was the coloring the Easter eggs. It was fun! These are the
types of things that we may have missed out on with our own
families. You invited us in and helped us feel welcomed."
"I would like to thank you for what
you did for me this Easter. I had so much fun. I really enjoyed
myself - it was one of the best days of my life. I do not know how
my Easter would have went if it was not for you, and everyone else
at the Epworth Center." "I
really enjoyed spending time at Epworth for Easter... You really
succeeded in making us feel special."
